Remembering Jim Morrison
"When I flew to Paris
with Jim Morrison in 1970,
somewhere over the Atlantic Ocean
he looked out the window
and then back at me and said:
'Doesn't the ground swallow me
when I die, or the sea, if I die at sea?'
I just looked back at him with total amazement
because I thought I saw the truth in his eyes...
not realizing that he would die several months later
submerged in water...
in a bathtub...
in Paris, France,
July 3rd, 1971."
